Shubman Gill on camaraderie with Ishan Kishan

India’s rising star Shubman Gill has been topping the cricket world with his incredible double century in the first ODI against New Zealand on Wednesday at Rajiv Gandhi international Stadium in Hyderabad. Shubman Gill became the fastest Indian batter to score double century. He also became the youngest batter to reach double hundred. Gill century got India to the winning point as his double century helped the team accumulate huge total. India beat New Zealand in the first ODI by 12 runs.
Ishan Kishan had also scored the double hundred in the third ODI against Bangladesh last month when India toured Bangladesh for the ODI and Test series. Speaking during the post-match presentation on Wednesday after receiving the ‘player of the match award’ Shubman Gill praised Ishan Kishan. “He is one of my best mates in the team and it’s amazing to be able to spend time with him. I was there when he scored his double hundred and it felt amazing,”
After the match Indian Skipper Rohit Sharma had joined Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill for a chat in which Shubman Gill talks about pre-match routine and how Ishan Kishan destroys entire plan. The video of their chat was shared by BCCI. “He spoils my entire pre-match routine as he does not let me sleep. He does not use earphones and watches movie in full volume. I abuse him and ask him to lower the volume but he says that this is his room and I will have to live according to his rules. I fight with him everyday. This is my pre-match.”
